The Art of Beekeeping is a course designed for those curious about beekeeping. We cover the following topics: The Basics of the Hive - Who makes of a hive and How to manage a successful hive. Essential Colony hive inspections - In each class you will get to visit a hive. How to construct equipment and maintain your bee equipment. How to extract honey. Pests of the hive - what they are and how to manage hives successfully around them. **The materials package is an additional $140 and includes a ventilated bee jacket, gloves, smoker, brush, hive tool, and book. This is required for purchase by all students. Please send a check to hold your spot for the course.
