We cover the following topics: The Basics of the Hive - Who makes up a hive and How to manage a successful hive. Essential Colony hive inspections - In each class, you will get to visit a hive. How to construct equipment and maintain your bee equipment. How to extract honey. Pests of the hive - what they are and how to manage hives successfully around them. ** All participants are invited to join free mentoring classes when available for the duration of their beekeeping lifestyle. **The materials package is an additional $140 and includes a ventilated bee jacket, gloves, smoker, brush, hive tool, and book.
