Whether you're a beginner or an experienced enthusiast, our 4-part course will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed for successful beekeeping in Hawaii. Join us for The Art of Beekeeping course this June 2025 (Sundays). Whether you're interested in beekeeping as a new hobby or are a seasoned bee enthusiast, this 4-part course is designed to prepare you for the ins and outs of beekeeping in Hawaii. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from a beekeeper in an intimate class setting and gain the necessary skills and knowledge. We cover the following topics: The Basics of the Hive - Who makes up a hive and How to manage a successful hive. Essential Colony hive inspections - In each class, you will visit a hive. How to construct equipment and maintain your bee equipment. How to extract honey. Pests of the hive - what they are and how to manage hives successfully around them. ** All participants are invited to join free mentoring classes when available for the duration of their beekeeping lifestyle. **The materials package is an additional $140 and includes a ventilated bee jacket, gloves, smoker, brush, hive tool, and book. All students are required to purchase this. Please send a check to hold your spot for the course.

Cancellation Policy

### Policy on Booking an Art of Beekeeping Course Thank you for your interest in the Art of Beekeeping course offered by Bird and Bee Hawaii! Please review the following policies before booking your class: 1. **Payment Requirements** All participants are required to pay for the course and materials in full by the first day of class. Materials payments may be made online or by sending a check to Bird and Bee Hawaii at least one month prior to the start of the course. 2. **Cancellation Policy** Payments for materials are non-refundable. However, participants who cancel may pick up their materials since they have already been paid for. 3. **Clothing Requirements** Participants must wear pants and closed-toed shoes while working in hives during the course. Sandals may be worn during times when we are not directly working in hives. 4. **Age Requirement** Children under 16 years old are not permitted to attend without prior special permission from Bird and Bee Hawaii. 5. **Required Materials** Participants must bring their course materials to each class after receiving them. 6. **Missed Classes** If you miss a class, you may attend a makeup session during a future course, provided there is space available. 7. **No Guests** Guests are not allowed to accompany participants to the course. 8. **Parking and Waiting** No one is permitted to remain in the car while classes are in session. 9. **Special Accommodations** If you require special accommodations, please contact Bird and Bee Hawaii via phone or email at birdandbeehawaii@gmail.com prior to the start of the course.
